Rogue builder prosecuted for mis-using NICEIC logo

A rogue builder, who falsely claimed to be NICEIC registered, faces a possible jail sentence after deceiving customers out of thousands of pounds. Umran Suleman, from Blackburn, pleaded guilty to 17 charges under trading standards regulations, some in his own name and some in the name of U & A Drylining Limited.

He was committed on bail to Preston Crown Court to be sentenced. District Judge Michael Hopkinson, who heard the case, said he had no doubt the offences merited a custodial sentence.

He said: "The public deserve protection from people like you.

An electrician who drives an old van has won a jaw-droppingly beautiful Aston Martin DB9 Volante with BOTB.com - the supercar giveaway people. BOTB.com surprised electrician Francois Chklar at his job in Hammersmith at 10am today where they handed him the keys. The best part of it all was he had no idea!

Francois has religiously played for the DB9 for a few years and was understandably well happy when he was surprised in the middle of a rewiring job. The £143,000 DB9 also came with £10k cash in the boot!
