Engineering services organisations encouraged to submit entries for the ECA Annual Awards. The industry-leading ECA Annual Awards 2017, which recognise some of the top-performing organisations across electrical and other engineering services, are now open to entries from members of the Electrical Contractors’ Association (ECA).
There are eight award categories, with a limited number of award sponsorship opportunities still available to interested parties. The award categories are as follows:

Submission to independent review urges government to commit to new industry
Proposals to build a series of tidal lagoons in the UK have been firmly backed by the Electrical Contractors’ Association (ECA) in a submission to a government-commissioned review of the potential new renewable sector.
Within the ECA response to the Hendry Review, an independent analysis requested by the government earlier this year, the trade body said that tidal lagoons offered the ‘complete package’ of long lifespan, high flexibility, and very high energy predictability.

As part of an ongoing drive to support the development of home safety in the UK, TrustMark, the Government-endorsed scheme for tradespeople, has partnered with CFOA Blue Watch, the Chief Fire Officers home safety scheme, to promote the assessment and registration of safety features found in both private and rented homes.
