Electrical Safety First has partnered with Beko Plc. UK to explore consumer attitudes around product registration. Research revealed that despite a number of high profile safety notices and product recalls issued last year, nearly half of all consumers who purchased an electrical item in the last 12 months did not register their purchase.
In support of World Consumer Day (15th March 2017), TrustMark, the only Government-endorsed scheme for all trades in and around the home, is advising consumers and businesses to understand their consumer rights and to empower them to exercise their rights with confidence.

RECC members can now sign up to the Government-endorsed quality scheme in addition to their RECC membership, and benefit from inclusion on the TrustMark website, which helps homeowners find quality and expert local tradespeople.
