The WEEE Directive and How Dexreco are Tackling This
The WEEE Directive, Waste Electronic and Electrical Equipment, is a piece of EU legislation which became European law in February 2003 and was introduced to UK law in 2007. The law makes both producers and importers of electronic goods responsible for the recycling of their products and covers the entire European Union. The WEEE Directive aims to reduce the amount of electronic waste (e-waste) from domestic and commercial sources which end up in landfill sites.
