At last the waiting time is over and we can finally announce the 3 winners of the on line electrician of the year awards 2011.
Julian Grant, UK and international sales manager for Megger Ltd said 'The awards are based on who is the best online electrician, judged by their usage of the internet and social networking, etc - rather than it being a "who is the best electrician" award'.
The winners were chosen based on their creativity, quality and frequency of updates of their on line activity, the number of platforms they use to carry out their on line social media activities and how effective their on line message is – overall - how do they instil their customer with confidence in their business?
Malcolm Duncan, Managing Director for Super Rod said 'I really feel if people are going to play, they must play across multi-platform'.
The winners have been chosen on the basis that their on line social media activity reflects where everyone needs to be – their material is quality, relevant and customer focussed and shared across many platforms – for example, blogs, Facebook, Twitter and representing this same message within their own website. Their on-line activity also works well alongside the more traditional medias that are used within their business.
The sponsors were in agreeance throughout with the overall winner receiving the overall most popular vote for the first prize.
Chloe Bennett, Marketing Executive for Trade Skills 4 U said 'These three candidates in particular, have shown a real presence online in both their social media campaigns and other existing media platforms which gives them the edge over the others short listed for this award. The added bonus of maintaining such informative platforms such as their blogs, flickr accounts (although not supposed to be used corporately) and social media websites, we feel would have a positive impact on their customer as they promote interaction and bring another level of knowledge and personality to a business, which is quite important for us. After all for the consumer: Information is power'.
A big congratulations to the final 3 winners who were picked from the short list!
