MLE Supports the ESC through their Charitable Commitment Programme

My Local Electrician, the online magazine for the Electrical Industry, is delighted to confirm they will be supporting the Electrical Safety Council (ESC) a UK charity that campaigns to reduce deaths and injuries in the home caused by electricity, as well as providing electrical safety advice for the home.
As part of its Charitable Commitment Programme, MLE donates 10% of its advertising capacity to a charity or good cause that works for the benefit of the electrical industry. Head of publishing and marketing at My Local Trades, Gary Pratten says “we are delighted to be supporting the Electrical Safety Council this year. The work that they do, not only from an industry point of view, but also the consumer with the promotion of electrical safety, including their product recall checker is a huge on going campaign and this ethos fits nicely with the values of our own company – keeping consumers safe from electrical dangers.
My Local Electrician have chosen to support the Electrical Safety Council for the mutual benefit of the general public and the electrical industry who are both users and readers of My Local Electrician. The Electrical Safety Council provides advice and education on the dangers that electricity can cause in and around the home. Set in an informative and interactive format, the public can find out about the latest safety campaigns and search the product checker for recalled electrical goods.
The electrical industry is also supported heavily by the Electrical Safety Council which provides a range of technical and best practice guidance for use throughout the industry as well as information on electrical product safety. The Electrical Safety Council works together with electrical industry professionals to ensure electrical safety is the top priority.
Kids and teens are not forgotten with a dedicated, easy to use, child friendly interactive site. There are also a collection of classroom resources which can be used by schools to educate young people on the dangers of electricity. Starting education on the dangers of electricity at a young age promotes good habits which can last a lifetime.
