Electricians value time and labour saving tools

The tools trade is big business. A quick scour of the internet can bring up a whole myriad of tools for every purpose. No doubt every electrician has in the past bought a tool that they didn't need or not worth the money for the time it saved.

To narrow down the selection, the members of the My Local Electrician LinkedIn group were asked what their favourite tool was on site apart from qualifications and experience.

Of course, qualifications and experience can never be under valued, but what we really wanted to know was what tool is a tool box favourite and what makes our working lives easier as an electrician.

Electricians seem to be a generous bunch. We often lend out our favourite tools only for them to never be seen again – so the replies were rather reminiscent of tools lost from the past. We thought this was quite interesting!

Dewalt seem to be a well trusted name with 'anything Dewalt' popping up amongst the replies.

Time saving and labour saving tools are mentioned in almost every reply which shows a clear indication that tools that can save time are highly coveted! After all, time is money and money is time!
