This has sparked some debate with a number of electricians and indeed other professional trades on social networks.
The blog post starts by outlining how wide and varied a professional electricians job is day to day. It moves on to state there are a number of myths and misconceptions surrounding the job of a professional electrician. A couple mentioned are "electricians get all the clean work" and "no two days are the same".
It then moves on to possibly the most debated and talked about aspect of an electricians job, how much do electricians get paid? It breaks these down by industry standard rates of pay outlined by the JIB (joint industry board). Once qualified an approved electrician can earn £30,532.32 per year. This is based on a 36 hour working week. If you continue to upgrade your qualifications and reach site technician status, you could be earning £34,388.64 per year.
The blog then moves on to comparing professional electricians rates of pay to other trades in the construction industry and concludes that electricians not only enjoy higher rates of pay but at times working conditions are better too!
You can read the full blog post on Trade Skills 4 U website here: http://www.tradeskills4u.co.uk/posts/electricians-better-pay

Blog tags

electricians pay

Wed, 04 Sep 2013 23:00:00 +0000 gazza 526 at https://www.mylocalelectrician.uk
