The ECA and NICEIC have launched their latest video onto You tube. The video comprises a product demonstration of the Design Genie software which is designed to save time and speed up the process of the design and installation of electrical installations.
Design genie enables full electrical design and calculation to the requirements of BS 7671. The software is designed for ease of use by electrical contractors and consists of a main design interface known as the Design Window where the final design can be viewed as well as the work in progress. Using the self explanatory tabs along the top of the screen to design the installation and entering simple data, the Design Genie software will in turn calculate all values for you based on information entered. All technical specifications of the design distribution board can be entered using the advanced features. UK protection devices, cable types, including Steel Wire Armour and Bus Bar trunking systems are all included as standard.
Design Genie is a cost effective solution for electrical contractors and with no limit to the number of distribution boards incorporated into the design, its an ideal 'one stop' design solution for contractors both large and small.
