Swindon based Grants Electrical has made it down to the last three in the quest to be named Which? Trusted Trader 2018. The NICEIC registered contractor has been shortlisted for the prestigious award from a list of more than 9,000 UK based traders. Grants was initially named Which Trader of the month back in November 2017 following a series of positive reviews. The firm was then shocked to find out it had made the final shortlist – which is based is based on comments, recommendations and feedback from Which? customers.

Winners are chosen for the impressive levels of service and professionalism they provide. Company owner Martin Grant said: “We were very surprised and obviously delighted to have been shortlisted for this award. Our ethos has always been on providing a first- class service from start to finish and going that extra mile for our customers.

“It’s amazing to receive the recognition for what we see as intrinsic to the way we work. Simple things like turning up when we say we will, ensuring that we build a good rapport with our customers, cleaning up after we finish and then following up once work has been completed all go a long way to support this.”

Grants Electrical Services was set up by Martin in 2015 after leaving the army. The business has now grown to employing three people and specialises in domestic and commercial electrical work in Wiltshire and the surrounding areas. Martin served for five years in the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers as an Avionics Technician in the British Army, working on some of the military's most sophisticated kit.

He says his life in the army taught him valuable skills which he has adopted for his electrical business, including, being punctual, professional, reliable, efficient and most importantly safe.

A spokesman for Which? said: “Grants Electrical Services has had a high volume of positive reviews and takes time to respond to them all. Its customers have told us that the team are professional in their approach and also punctual and take extra care to keep things clean and tidy.”

The Which? Awards celebrate the UK's best businesses and the overall 2018 winner will be announced at a special ceremony in London on the 23rd May. Grants will go up against a company specialising in tree surgery from Surrey and a heating firm from Somerset.

News Categories

Which?
